STOP!!
Before you choose a provider to help you
navigate through the
tedious,
time-consuming, stressful
approval process, here are
some very important factors to consider.
|
-
Do
the provider's programs comply with
individual Canadian provincial
regulations. All of our programs
were developed "specifically" to comply
with either Alberta, British Columbia,
Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland
and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario,
Prince Edward Island, Quebec, or
Saskatchewan regulations. They are
not U.S. programs with a little Canadian
regulatory verbage added just to get
through the
approval process. Unfortunately, many
of our competitors offer these types of
risky, hybrid programs that increase
your regulatory liability.
|
-
Does the provider have the necessary
expertise and credentials to
demonstrate they are competent to
prepare safety and regulatory
materials. I would encourage
you to carefully research the
qualifications of any individual or
entity you choose to handle your
compliance issues. Attorneys,
professional safety consultants
(i.e. CSP, ASP, CIH), and former
government regulatory officers are
examples of competent individuals .
In our opinion, chiropractors,
construction contractors and the
similar lack the detailed
experience, education and regulatory
knowledge necessary, and only
increase your overall safety and
compliance liability.

|
-
Are the materials you are purchasing
indeed copyrighted by the provider.
Many companies claim their materials
are indeed copyrighted but the truth
is they are not. DigitalReg highly
recommends that you ensure that the
material you purchase has a
"registered" copyright or at the
very least, the provider has made
application for copyright. If
you purchase a product that a
provider has copyright infringed
upon then you too can be held
legally liable. All of our products
have both U.S. and international
"registered" copyrights and/or
applications for copyright have been
made.
|
- Does the provider present a
professional and credible image?
Image is a direct reflection of
professionalism and credibility.
Many providers have literally stolen
other provider's products and materials,
made minor changes and call them their
own. REMEMBER, you can be held
legally liable for their copyright
infringement.
One of our main
competitors was caught just a few months ago
completely copying our entire website and
replacing our contact information with their
own. DigitalReg was forced to threaten him and his
company with legal action regarding
copyright infringement. We have since then
shut down that website to limit damage
related to the copyright infringement.
Unfortunately, our investigation indicated
that this might not be the first time the
company engaged in this type of illegal and
unethical activity. |
